Washington Commanders to Retire Hall of Fame Receiver Art Monk’s No. 81
The Washington Commanders announced on Tuesday that they will retire Hall of Fame wide receiver Art Monk’s No. payment method 81 during the upcoming season. From his NFL debut in 1980 until his retirement in 1993, Monk amassed an impressive record, catching 888 passes for 12,026 yards and scoring 65 touchdowns during the regular season. Throughout much of their history, the Commanders refrained from retiring player numbers.
